Services

Our practice is of a cross-border nature. Although mainly based in Malta, with a tight network of collaborators in Italy, it operates across most major shipping jurisdictions (including Monaco, Turkey and Piraeus, Greece).

Our ship registration services offer seamless and efficient solutions for vessel owners seeking the right flag state for their needs. Whether registering luxury yachts, commercial vessels, or petroleum tankers, we assist in navigating the legal and regulatory frameworks of leading flag states to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and favourable tax structures. With expertise in international maritime regulations, we provide tailored guidance on flag selection, ownership structures, and ongoing compliance, ensuring that your vessel operates under a jurisdiction that best aligns with your business and operational requirements.

Our seafarer services ensure that vessel owners and operators remain compliant with international maritime labour standards while efficiently managing their crew. We provide comprehensive support in navigating employment contracts, payroll administration, and the obligations imposed by the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC). From drafting and reviewing seafarer agreements to administering social security contributions, and working conditions in line with MLC requirements, we help streamline crew management while mitigating legal and financial risks. Our expertise ensures that both employers and crew members benefit from clear, compliant, and well-structured employment arrangements.

Our ship finance services provide comprehensive support in securing and registering vessel mortgages to protect lenders’ interests and facilitate efficient financing solutions. We assist with the preparation and registration of ship mortgages in leading flag state registries, ensuring compliance with international maritime and financial regulations. Additionally, we draft and review key security documents, including Deeds of Covenants, which outline the rights and obligations of both lenders and borrowers, covering crucial aspects such as repayment terms and enforcement provisions. Our expertise ensures a smooth and legally sound financing process, giving stakeholders confidence in their maritime investments.

Our team of experienced lawyers provides comprehensive legal services in arbitration, with a particular focus on proceedings under the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA) rules. We assist clients in resolving complex maritime disputes efficiently and cost-effectively through arbitration, offering expert guidance from case assessment to enforcement of awards. Whether representing clients, we ensure a strategic approach to dispute resolution, leveraging our deep understanding of maritime law and arbitration procedures to protect our clients’ interests.
